The Seventh Shipment

The seventh shipment has made its way to homes all over the United States! We love seeing your photos fill our social media feeds! The proceeds from the seventh box went to the Ivey family, of Tennessee, as they prepare for their upcoming adoption!

(Are they not the cutest family ever?)

The seventh box held some great items that were near and dear to my heart. I love when the products and purposes tell such incredible stories!

BAM Essentials

I met Beth of BAM Essentials through my friend Sarah (remember Nutty Snacks from the second shipment?) a while back. We have been working to find the perfect fit for BAM in a box, and we did! She created several scents for the shipment, and they were all delightful. Purchases from BAM Essentials help empower women in Minnesota who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

COPO Market

When Jessica reached out about COPO Market, I was instantly drawn to their story and their handmade products. Their mission to "use creativity to empower women for such a time as this" really hits the nail on the head. They're meeting women where they are and helping them; I love that. Funny story about the spoons that were included: I measured, ordered larger boxes, and then got ready to pack and ship. Only some of the spoons fit--thank goodness for local pick-up! I didn't account for the handmade nature of each set of spoons! They all got where they were going, though, and they were beautiful!

Smile Squared

Smile Squared is a company I have wanted to work with for quite a long time. For each toothbrush purchased, they give one to a child in need. Such a basic thing we take for granted is so necessary to those who don't have them. One of my goals with Purpose Box is to try to introduce ways we can change every day buying patterns to benefit others, and this is a prime example of that!

Kurandza

Elisabetta of Kurandza contacted me a couple of months ago about featuring some of their products in a box. I checked out their site and loved the beautiful colors the women of Mozambique were working with. Then, just the right fit popped up in our Instagram feed! (Don't you just love Instagram?) The handmade cards we included were perfect for the February box! Kurandza works to educate women, primarily in Mozambique, through trade skills, health education, and scholarships for secondary school.

Yum Butter

Well, Target strikes again for this one! I saw Yum Butter on a Target run and was drawn to the packaging. Then I read a little more, and I was drawn to the mission. Then they arrived, and I was drawn to the taste! This is a "will purchase again" item for our family, and when we do, they'll provide a meal for someone in need!

-------------------------

Thank you for your purchase of the seventh Purpose Box! It has been such an adventure to see this little seed planted and begin to grow in mailboxes all over the country.

A quick note: we have many of you who have asked about recurring subscriptions, and I promise that has not fallen on deaf ears. We are working on it! Some changes to orders and checkouts are coming--hopefully sooner than later!

The Sixth Shipment

The sixth shipment has hit mailboxes, been wrapped and placed under the tree, and graced the presence of social media feeds around the country! We loved being part of your Christmas celebrations!

Proceeds from our sixth box went to NICU nesting suites at Seton Medical Center Austin in honor of Rumer Rain Rogers.

What a great year it was for Purpose Box, and we are so glad you were all a part of it! The final box of the year had some great goodies from all over the United States.

Better Life Bags

Better Life Bags was one of the first for-purpose companies I discovered after starting Purpose Box. Because of the nature of their business, I wasn't sure I would be able to ever get them in a box. Then, one fateful day, their leather tassels showed up in my Instagram feed and were a perfect fit! We love their mission to employ the women in their community, and we are so glad to have had them in the sixth box! (Hear more about Better Life Bags from my friend Jamie Ivey on her podcast, The Happy Hour, here.)

Compliment

Melissa, the founder of Compliment, is also a former teacher and passionate about giving back. Her products are uplifting, and they support scholarships for educational equity. The beautiful earrings we featured in the box are just the tip of the Compliment iceberg!

Flourish Art & Gifts

Flourish Art & Gifts' mission is to help others flourish with every purchase. It doesn't get much better than that! I was so pleased when Laura reached out, and I love that they work with a variety of non-profits.

Liberty 61

Kass is the founder and designer behind Liberty 61, and I just love her heart! She is full of beautiful ideas and her compassion for others is shown in her give-back model.

Little Bird

My friend Heidi's sweet daughter, Emma, is the creative genius behind the Little Bird lotion bars. Her heart is to give back to Haiti through the purchase of each bar. I love her desire to give back from such a young age!

Seattle Chocolates

I read about Seattle Chocolates and couldn't wait to get them in a box! Candy for meals? Can't beat that deal! And--it was DELICIOUS!

-------------------------

Thank you for your purchase of the sixth box, either for yourself or a gift! We closed out our first full year of shipping boxes with a bang, and we made a total impact of over $15,000 throughout 2015! I can't wait to see what 2016 will bring!

The Fifth Shipment

The fifth shipment of Purpose Box has made it to mailboxes and been filling up social media feeds!

This shipment's featured purpose was Operation Baby Rescue through Leading and Loving It. Such incredible things are happening for the children of Guatemala through this initiative:

It wasn't purposeful, but this box had several fellow Texans in it! It is quite fun for me to see so many people working together for a common goal of being generous and making our purchases count!

da Bomb Bath Fizzers

Two sisterpreneurs created da Bomb Bath Fizzers, and they added a give-back component to their Earth Bomb! Each fizzer has a little surprise inside so it doesn't just disappear when it's gone!

Mitscoots

The mission of Mitscoots Outfitters is Give. Get. Employ. I love that not only are they giving back, they are helping those in need of a job in their community (just up the road in Austin) as well!

Purpose Coffee Company

Julia and I actually share a mutual friend, and after discussing many similarities in our branding and such, we knew Purpose Coffee and Purpose Box had to work together! The coffee is delicious, and I love their stance for helping empower people around the globe! (They're doing all that from here in Texas, too!)

Rooted Beauty

I'm always drawn to fun packaging, so when I started seeing the cute products in my Instagram feed, I wondered about featuring Rooted Beauty in a box.  When I read about their Woman2Woman program, I knew they'd be a perfect fit! (And can we talk about those face wipes for a minute? Wow.)

ROWAN

When Kelsey reached out about featuring ROWAN's Antlers for Orphans necklaces in a box, I was sold! They are empowering the vulnerable, and I get compliments every time I wear my necklace! It's the perfect way to spread the word about all they're doing!

Tribe Alive

When I began talking to the girls at Tribe Alive about including something in the box, I was immediately drawn to their beautiful site, but mostly to their story. I love that founder Carly's adoption prompted her move to a socially conscious enterprise. (Carly and her Tribe are our final Texans, by the way.)

-------------------------

Thank you to each of you who purchased our fifth box, shared, and spread the word via social media. It was our largest shipment to date, and I am truly excited about the direction Purpose Box is going! Your purchases are making an impact worldwide.

Our Christmas box is sold out, but we have a t-shirt and gift certificate bundle on the site that would make a great gift! Plus, if you listen to the The Christmas Special on Jamie Ivey's Happy Hour podcast, you might even find a coupon code!
